The Busch Center, at 504 Auburn Drive, houses the minister's office, the AUUF library, Teen RE classes and meeting rooms. Congregational potlucks and picnics are held on the grounds several times a year, where wonderful woodland gardens and trails are being developed by the AUUF Green Sanctuary Committee. Located just beyond our parking lot, and purchased in 1998 through a capitol campaign begun during the presidency of Fred Hoerr, the Busch Center house and yard opened up new possibilities for expanding AUUF programs and activities. After calling it "the new house" for more than a year, member Tom Hodges spearheaded an effort to give the facility a proper name. Members proposed various names and then voted. "The Busch Center" was chosen in honor of Chip and Charlie Busch, in recognition of their generous contribution to the capitol campaign.
